Card validity checks are optional during the card tokenization process but mandatory during the application process.
What this means is that customers an be able to add a card on the platform irrespective of the card validity period, this is for instances where a customer just wants to add a card without necessarily having any application in progress.
However, if a customer completes an application with a card that is expiring soon, the application may be automatically declined by the system before it is approved.
In the case where the application has already been approved, you will be notified via an error pop-up that indicates that the funds cannot be disbursed because the card is about to expire. The customer will be required to add a second card with a validity period that covers the loan duration applied for, select the card as the default card, and afterward the funds will be disbursed.
